Irish Olympic chief blasts EU

European Olympic Committee vice-president Pat Hickey has launched a scathing attack on the European Union for their failure to include an Article on Sport in their Treaty.

Hickey criticised what he believes to be a reticence on the EU's part to take a responsibility for sport in Europe.
