Horseracing: McCoy 'sore' after Sedgefield fall
Tony McCoy was "sore" after two falls at Sedgefield's National Hunt meeting.
McCoy gave up his final mount on the card, Exterior Profiles, in the Matt Brownless Memorial Handicap Hurdle, after he parted company with Mary Reveley's Sun King on the level in the proceeding novices' hurdle.
He was also unshipped from Mr Cavallo in the opening handicap hurdle.
"I'm okay, just a bit sore," explained the champion jockey. "Just a little fall, you get used to it!
"It was very slippy ground, there were a lot of fallers and a lot of horses slipping. I didn't ride in the last as I was a bit sore but I'll be back at Market Rasen on Saturday."
McCoy had earlier given Karl Burke's Specialize a typically power-packed ride to land a tidy gamble in the Northern Echo Handicap Chase.
