Sporting bodies waiting for direction

Sporting bodies are waiting on tenterhooks following the announcement of two cases of foot-and-mouth in Co Louth.

The FAI are waiting on direction from the Department of Agriculture before deciding whether the Irish domestic soccer season - which was due to resume this weekend following a three-week sabbatical - will be suspended again.
