New Dublin manager named

Kevin Fennelly has been named as the new Dublin hurling manager.

He was first approached about the job three weeks ago but only made the decision to take up the offer after he returned from holidays in Spain.

Fennelly won an All-Ireland medal in 1979 and three All-Ireland club medals between 1981 and 1990.

He narrowly missed All-Ireland victory when in 1998, as manager of Kilkenny, he saw his team beaten in the final by Offaly.
