Hartson deal 'would go through this week' - agent

John Hartson's move to Coventry will go through this week if it happens at all.

The Wimbledon striker is in negotiations over a proposed £5million switch to Coventry as he seeks to play football at the top level again.

And his agent Jonathan Barnett expects that if the player and club agree personal terms, the deal should go through before the weekend.

"If it was to go through it would go through this week. But we are stil a little bit apart so we'll just have to wait and see," he told Ananova.com.

"I don't think anything will be done today, we're just progressing. We're still in the middle of sorting out the personal side of things."

Barnett added: "He's very happy at Wimbledon but obviously he would like the chance to play Premiership football.

"That's not going to happen this season with Wimbledon. He likes Coventry, but everything has got to be right.

"It's a very crucial part of john's career so everything has got to be right - not just fanancially, everything."
