Wolves set to unveil Dave Jones

Wolves are expected to unveil former Southampton boss Dave Jones as their new manager on Wednesday morning.

The 44-year-old, who along with Saints reserve coach Dennis Rofe watched the First Division club win 2-1 at Burnley on Monday, is set to succeed Colin Lee in the Molineux hotseat after nearly a year out of the game.

Last month Jones successfully cleared his name of child abuse charges and his decision to join Wolves would disappoint two other Division One clubs seeking new managers, Barnsley and Norwich.

Jones steered Stockport to promotion from the Second Division and to the Coca-Cola Cup semi-finals.

He then spent two-and-a-half years at The Dell before he was replaced by Glenn Hoddle because of the court case.

Wolves will hold a 10:30am press conference at Molineux at which they are expected to parade Jones
