Neptune 71 - Killorglin 75, Neptune Stadium
In a game that was competitive from tip-off Killorglin had American Mark St Fort sent off in the 28th minute after clashing with Neptune star Roy Downey.
Killorglin coach Ignas Sijanas said: “It was a great game to win, as I thought Neptune were more than a handful on the night and more important our unbeaten record is intact.
“I am sure we will have another few battles before the end of the season but for now this win feels great.”
The Kerry side opened with consecutive baskets from Daniel Jokubatis but a three pointer from new Neptune American signing Jarrrel Marshall had the fans in rapture.
The remainder of the quarter saw both teams trade baskets but a late Roy Downey jumper ensured the home side commanded an 18-17 lead.
In the second quarter both defences were on top but with Evan Bogdanovic posing Neptune problems at the post the Kerry side commanded a 35-30 lead.
In the third quarter Killorglin looked to be taking control and a monstrous three pointer from Declan Wall gave them a nine-point cushion entering the final quarter.
Coming down the stretch Neptune threw the kitchen sink at their opponents but time ran out on them as Killorglin took maximum points.
