Cork Harlequins are the last remaining unbeaten side in the women’s EY Hockey League as they swept to a 3-0 win over Pembroke Wanderers in Dublin. The result keeps them within a point of leaders UCD.

It was a comfortable affair with all the goals coming in the first 22 minutes with Irish international trio Rebecca Barry, Roisin Upton and Naomi Carroll on the mark.

“At times, we showed some really good phases of attacking play,” winning coach Stephen Dale said. “But we’d like to get a little bit more from our counter-attacks which is something we need to improve on but the side is digging in well.”
