Videographer Dan Linehan went along to the first day of the four day long practice period before the competition begins to speak to manager's of the Irish U25 Angling team, Conor Browne, ahead of the Youth World Fishing Championships.
Mr Browne, explained, "There's 13 teams in the under 25 section, 13 teams in the under 20 swection and ten teams in the under 15 section."
Practice ahead of the competition will take place until Friday allowing for four day's preparation to figure out what methods work.
"We practice for four days fishing the same hours we would fish in the match," Mr Browne said.
The winner will be decided based on the total weight of fish caught during the four hours.
Winning teams will need between a 150 and 180 fish in four hours to do well in their section during the competition.
The competition will take place at Inniscarra Lake in Coachford Co Cork this weekend.
