The championships were held at the National Rowing Centre in Farran, Co Cork.

There was a sense of anticipation prior to the race as participants prepared their boats in the sunshine.

Family and friends who attended the championships basked in the 21 degree heat while supporting and cheering on the teams from the riverside of the rowing centre.
