Motorsport: Craig Breen fulfils dream at Rally Sweden

Craig Breen will realise another as he sits behind the wheel of a Citroen DS3 WRC run by the Abu Dhabi Total World Rally Team in Sweden.

“It’s a childhood dream come true. Being able to drive a car like this in the World Championship is such an important opportunity for the rest of my career. I now have to grab this chance and show that I deserve my place among the elite,” he said.

It’s a much different Rally Sweden than originally planned — melting snow and ice caused havoc as usually frozen roads turned to soft, muddy gravel. Eight stages have been cut along with the pre-event shakedown and last night’s traditional opening Super Special stage.
