Killian Kingston proves too strong for Donal Riordan

He opened with a great bowl to the factory entrance. Riordan’s first only reached Glencurragh cross and he beat Kingston’s tip by 60m with his second. Kingston’s next two were poor and Riordan clipped the lead to 15m.

Riordan then got two poor throws to the end of the council yard and fell a bowl behind. He rallied with two good shots to the silvery gate to bring the lead well under a bowl. He continued to press with two more good shots to the Steps, but Kingston countered well to hold his lead there by 20m.
