Jane plainly the one greyhound to beat

She returned to four bends just a couple of weeks ago, and ran a fine race to finish second behind Burnt Le Bec, who went on to frank the form with a big run next time.

The manner in which she finished off that race and the fact she was clear into the escape suggests she will get the extra 25 yards of this race, and that is the only concern for the classy lady.

She has the pace to lead down along the inside, and can build a race-winning advantage before her strong-running rivals find full stride. The danger may come from Lagile Lily.

The feature event is the final of the Pat Hennerty Sales Cork Oaks and Rastafari Chic is just preferred in a wide-open affair.

Invinciblejackie and Tyrur Susan have the best of the draw, but the selection has fine early dash and may be able to clear the inside runners on the run-up, in which case she’d be very hard to catch.

Tyrur Susan has her draw on the wide outside, and rates the primary danger.

The other highlight on the card is the Gina’s Bakery Unraced Stake final and Knockboy Malmo can follow up his debut success.

David O’Herlihy’s August pup caught the eye with his early and middle pace in the semi-finals, and, while he came back to the field in the closing stages, he’s entitled to be much better for the experience.
