Ireland’s AFL stars get back to business

A few high-profile footy players have returned home, but with nine Irish players set to feature, there will be plenty of interest in in the 2015 AFL season, which kicks off this morning in Melbourne.

Carlton take on Richmond at the MCG in the season opener, with Zach Tuohy from Laois and Cork’s Ciarán Sheehan expected to feature in the home line-up.

Sheehan was announced as a nominated rookie to the club’s senior list last week, allowing him to feature in Round 1.
