Eager Breen sets off on European Rally trail

Motorsport: Waterford’s Craig Breen begins his attack on the European Rally Championship that gets underway today with the Internationale Jannerrallye in Austria.

The Peugeot Sport Academy ace with co-driver Scott Martin had to be satisfied with the seventh fastest time during yesterday’s Qualifying Stage in their Peugeot 208 T16.

Heavy overnight snow led to tricky conditions where Breen clocked a time of one minute 30.592 seconds over the 1.99 kilometre test.
