Team Montenotte are now outright leaders of the Women’s Premier League after a hard-earned 73-71 win over Meteors.

In a competitive game, Team Montenotte e made a blistering start but had to be content with a seven-point interval lead — 37-30.

The Cork side were still ahead by five entering the final quarter and a good opening five minutes saw them surge into a 12-point lead.
