McCarthy and Coleman out of Everton reckoning

Ireland duo James McCarthy and Seamus Coleman will miss Everton’s Europa League trip to Russia to play FC Krasnodar tonight (5pm, live on Setanta Ireland, ITV4).

Roberto Martinez, speaking at the Kuban Stadium, said McCarthy has a quad issue while Coleman has a minor soft tissue injury. Martinez said: “James has played a lot of football and he is feeling a bit fatigued.

“Seamus Coleman had concussion against Wolfsburg but then he suffered a little bit of a soft tissue problem. I don’t think it will be too long [before he is fully fit].”
