Robinson and Mageean third in Fifth Avenue Mile

Paul Robinson and Ciara Mageean starred at the NYRR Fifth Avenue Mile in New York on Saturday, taking some prized scalps with third place finishes in their respective races.

Robinson, alongside Ciarán Ó Lionáird, was first to race down one of New York City’s most famous thoroughfares in the men’s race. The pace was quick from the start with the halfway passed in 1 minute and 56 seconds.

“It was pretty fast from the start,” said Robinson with a bonus of $1,000 for the runner in the lead at the halfway point.
