Sheridan is Ireland’s kicking king

Damien Sheridan is still the man with the most powerful boot in Gaelic football.

At Bray Emmets GAA Club on Saturday, the Longford goalkeeper won the All-Ireland Kick Fada title for a third successive year, beating more than 20 rivals in a keenly-contested competition, watched by GAA President Liam O’Neill.

Sheridan claimed the crown by equalling the record of scoring from 75 metres, which he set last year.
