The International Sailing Federation have announced a prize fund of 10,000 for next week’s Women’s World Match Racing Championship in Cork.

Thirteen teams are confirmed for the Royal Cork Yacht Club in Crosshaven next week for the prestigious global event which runs from June 3-8.

The field, for the opening event for the 2014 Women’s Series, includes Denmark’s Camilla Ulrikkeholm, who tops the rankings, along with highly rated American Stephanie Roble.

Irish pair Bella Moorehead and Diana Kissane will feature on the New Zealand team.

Event chairman Ronan Enright said: “The prize fund shows the commitment to attracting some of the world’s best sailors and it also shows how fortunate we are to have sponsors like Cork County Council and Port Of Cork.”
