Speed is key in North Cork

The Charleville International Half Marathon, billed by club organisers North Cork AC as the “flattest, straightest and fastest” course in Ireland, will host hundreds of runners tomorrow (10am).

Speed is key in North Cork

The 13.1-mile course runs between Charleville and Kilmallock and is set to yield some of the fastest times set over the half-marathon distance in Ireland this year due to the fast nature of the course which has been measured to international standards — the only one in Ireland. This will suit the elite, club and novice runners alike as all will be able to aim for personal bests and aid their build up to the Dublin Marathon. Pacemakers have been arranged for every 10-minute target time from 80 minutes to 130 minutes. Visit www.CharlevilleHalf.com for entry details.
