Cooly’s class to carry the day

Cork GOBA sponsors the entire card at Curraheen Park tonight — a programme that consists of no fewer than four stake finals — and the nap selection goes to Cooly Colebe, who can be expected to stamp his class all over the closing race.

The former Munster Derby winner led to the turn in the final of the Formula One Grand Prix, won by Milldean Panther. He found plenty of trouble at that point, but ran a game race in defeat.

This contest represents a huge drop in class and if he breaks as he did on that occasion he will lead clear around the turn and there should be no catching him. Cool Present can chase him home.
