McKenna targets top English prizes

Owen McKenna, who spent some years training greyhound across the water, could be a regular visitor to the British tracks over the coming months.

The New Inn, Co Tipperary- based handler yesterday confirmed he is targeting the English Derby and the Ladbrokes Puppy Derby at Monmore with his star-studded team.

He will be trialling dogs at Wimbledon and Monmore this weekend and will stay over to allow his charges contest races at both venues next week.
