Ó Hairtnéid triumphs at CIT

The South Munster Schools Cross-Country event at Cork IT in Bishopstown provided some impressive performances.

Ian Ó Hairtnéid of Coláiste Daibhéid moved away from Cullen Lynch (Douglas CS) over the last lap in the senior race to take victory by 10 seconds.

Lynch led his Douglas team-mates to an easy team victory and they also came up trumps in the intermediate event where Cillian O’Donovan of Coláiste na Sceilge, Caherciveen, led all the way for a comprehensive win.
