Murray looks to Lendl for lift

ANDY MURRAY appointed former world number one Ivan Lendl as his full-time coach in the hope of winning a grand slam.

The 51-year-old, a former world number one and eight-time grand slam winner, was yesterday named as Murray’s new coach as he cranks up his preparations for the first major of the year, the Australian Open, which begins on January 16.

“When he played he was a very hard-worker,” Murray said
