Sorensen looks to future

IRELAND’S Louk Sorensen has dispelled fears that he might have retired for the second time this year after taking a four-week break from tournament action.

Sorensen looks to future

Sorensen, who was forced to quit with cramp in his US Open first round match against Brazil’s Rogerio Dutra Da Silva on August 31, has not struck a ball in competitive fare since the initial stage of the Brasov Open in Romania on September 5.

But the Davis Cup ace, who retired from the pro circuit last May because of injuries only to make a return three months later, has decided to resume the chase for world ranking points in the second-tier ATP Challenger Tour event in Mons, Belgium. 281, Sorensen will have to slug it out in the qualifying round where he must win three matches today and tomorrow to secure a place in the main draw which starts Monday.
