FORMER Davis Cup player John McGahon last night followed current Ireland representative Barry King out of the Irish Close Championships, at the Donnybrook Club.

Dundalk man McGahon, was edged out by Georgia’s Lazare Kukhalashvilli.

After Kukhalashvilli took the first set, McGahon battled back to level and nailed down a semi-final by taking the third set with one break of serve.
