Rigondeaux and Casey go head to head

GUILLERMO RIGONDEAUX comes face to face with Willie “Big Bang” Casey at Hotel Montenotte in Cork this afternoon.

The two-time Olympic and world amateur champion was due in Ireland two weeks ago to promote the upcoming world title fight but the visit was rescheduled after he encountered visa problems.

A championship ring has been erected at the hotel; Rigondeaux will be there to from 2pm and Casey, now ranked 11th in the world by the WBA, is due to arrive at 3pm. The fight, which takes place at City West Conference Centre on March 19, will not be televised by RTÉ.
