Greyhound racing hit

THE weather is playing havoc with the greyhound schedule with three meetings lost last night and one of tonight’s meetings already cancelled.

The three tracks to fall foul of the cold snap last night were Harolds Cross, Enniscorthy and Youghal while tonight’s meeting at Enniscorthy will not be staged. The Youghal card will be run next Monday.

Harolds Cross will decide this morning if tonight’s card can go ahead, while an inspection will take place at 2pm to decide if tonight’s Tralee meeting will take place.

There will be an inspection at Shelbourne this morning to consider tomorrow’s meeting. .

Trials arranged for Cork, Thurles and Newbridge today have been called off.

The draw for the Ted Hegarty Marathon will be made today and the first round will be run on Friday in conjunction with the second round of the Tote Gold Collar.
