Jermyn hat-trick inspires C of I to crucial win

UCC’s women and Cork C of I’s men gave their Irish Hockey League semi-final hopes a shot in the arm with notable victories over Ulster opposition in round two of the competition this weekend.

A John Jermyn hat-trick helped C of I win 3-2 at Cookstown, and with Lisnagarvey drawing 3-3 at Glenanne, Pool A now has a very clustered look about it as no-one has won both their games.
