Spike all set for Glasgow fight night

GARY ‘SPIKE’ O’SULLIVAN is awaiting confirmation of his opponent for tomorrow night’s fight at Kelvin Hall in Glasgow where he appears on the undercard to the WBO World Super Featherweight clash between Ricky Burns and Roman Martinez.

The Corkman, who has won all of his 11 professional fights to date, is currently promoted by Frank Warren and had been scheduled to box Craig Doherty. But, apparently, that pairing has been shelved for a later date when it could possibly be for a title.

O’Sullivan’s manager/trainer, Paschal Collins, pointed out Doherty was a very good fighter with a good record and himself and O’Sullivan, who already holds the Irish middleweight title, would be a very good title fight.
