Costin hails performance plan

OLYMPIAN Jamie Costin believes the High Performance Strategy launched by Athletics Ireland may represent a defining moment for the sport at elite level.

The plan, unveiled in Dublin yesterday, was developed over six months in conjunction with the Irish Sports Council and the Institute of Sport. The scheme aims to provide an Irish-based performance environment to help develop elite athletes at all age groups.
