Opening day Blues as Tigers’ Hunt boils blood

WHAT a nasty piece of work Stephen Hunt is – and as if we even needed reminding of the fact, he attempted to maim any Chelsea player that came within five yards of him.

Indeed his foul on Lampard alone on Saturday was worthy of straight red, but undeterred, he continued in his aggressive vein until finally Phil Brown substituted him – a wise move as Alan Wiley could not have given him yet another stern warning without producing a card.

But Hunt was just one of a number of niggles which did their best to spoil the opening day of the season for me – a day I usually savour and look forward to like a small child awaiting Christmas.
