Bolt offers sprint tips to Ronaldo

OLYMPIC champion Usain Bolt plans to hand Manchester United a late-season boost by giving winger Cristiano Ronaldo some one-on-one sprint training.

Bolt, who broke the 100 and 200m world records in Beijing, is a keen United fan. Ronaldo had sent the Jamaican a signed shirt and requested a training session.

Bolt is coming to Manchester to compete in a one-off 150m road race on May 17 and plans to attend United’s penultimate league game, at home to Arsenal.

The 22-year-old hopes to attend a training session before the match to link up with Ronaldo.

“I’ll definitely be doing that,” he said. “I can give him a few tips to help him get the edge on guys, I can get him up to speed.
