Chicken Supper devours rivals
An outside draw was not ideal on paper for the John Kiely trained dog but, with trap five vacant, he comfortably made the bend in front.
He was in control from that point and stretched clear down the back straight, eventually coming home eight lengths clear of the favourite, Compass Don, in a fastest of the night 28.56.
Queens Rock took the Getting Out Stakes for the second week running - in circumstances that had a touch of déjà vu for punters. A week previously Callums Lad went off at odds on to take the finale and it was the same on Saturday with the John Kiely trained dog a 4/5 chance to make amends.
However, after breaking well he was hampered at the opening bend and could only trail in third behind the Bill Busteed (Mayfield) owned and trained Queens Rock, who led at the opening bend en route to a two length win over Compass Honey in 30.00 (550)
Second best standard distance time of the night was the 28.67 clocked by Compass Owen in the opener. The veteran four-year-old retains plenty of enthusiasm and, having led between the opening bends, stayed on well to see off market rival Droopys Kiah.
