Prospect can make most of decent draw

THE trap draw appears to have paved the way for Decent Prospect in the featured Open 575 at tonight’s benefit meet at Curraheen Park, in aid of Grenagh Community Sports Complex.

Prospect can make most of decent draw

Decent Prospect, who runs from trap five, lines up here on the back of a 29.73 run over 550 yards on Laurels final night and, with a noted railer on his immediate left, should enjoy the run of the race.

Chicken Supper produced a series of top class efforts to reach the Laurels final.

However, John Kiely’s runner is likely to cut in from his trap four draw which doesn’t augur well for his chances nor those of the in-form Palmetto Dunes on his immediate left.

In the circumstances Decent Prospect reads the percentage bet.

The promising Gaytime Scoby can make it two wins from as many starts in the fifth race over 550 yards.

The selection looked a decent prospect when making all to justify favouritism in 29.36 on his debut last month.

Open to further improvement and well drawn on the rails, Gaytime Scoby can take this step up in class in his stride.
