Fin on course for Cork prize
The four-year-old was highly-tried last season, running in both the Betfair Cup and the Celebration Mile at Goodwood in the summer.
He was then dropped in grade to win a Dundalk handicap in impressive style and Griffin believes there is more improvement to come from his lightly-raced inmate.
The County Kilkenny handler said: “He is a horse we have always rated highly and Johnny Murtagh has ridden him a few times and liked him a lot.
“He still has it to prove on the track and although he did it really well the last day, this would be a step up in grade.
“If the ground is any worse than yielding we probably wouldn’t run him but I’m hoping it will be fine and I just hope this year he can justify the faith we have in him.”
