McHale’s return delights Kennedy

LIAM McHALE is to make a long-awaited return to top-flight Irish basketball in a bid to aid Merry Monk Ballina’s challenge for SuperLeague glory.

Coach Terry Kennedy coaxed the former Irish International out of retirement during the week, believing that McHale’s experience is the missing piece his squad requires to make the play-offs and win the SuperLeague title.

Ballina have been in superb form of recent weeks winning seven of their last eight games and putting in a real challenge to defend their northern conference title after an indifferent start.
