Dasher takes a flier

DAIRES DASHER is the 11/10 favourite with Cashmans to lift the Guinness Trophy at Curraheen Park next weekend after he clocked a very fast 28.25 when taking the second of Saturday’s semi-finals.

Owen McKenna’s 6-1 chance, beaten in both his runs in the event previously, made no mistake this time as he pinged the lid from his outside berth to hold a commanding advantage at the opening bend.

Daires Dasher increased his lead down the back straight and in the end came home a whopping ten and a half lengths ahead of Skywalker Duke.
