Duddy won’t fight before spring
The New York-based Derryman last fought on September 29 when he advanced his professional record to 18-0 with his IBA middleweight title unanimous points victory over Yory Boy Campas in an epic encounter at Madison Square Garden.
Duddy, however, received deep cuts to both eyes, forcing the cancellation of plans to fight before Christmas.
Now an expected return to the ring early in the new year has been cancelled with the Irishman pulling out of a press conference in Manhattan yesterday called to announce a headlining fight on a January 11 card at New York’s Roseland Ballroom.
