Disco can call the tune on Ardkill Jamie

He was in front for a long way before finishing a length and a half runner-up in 28.22 last week and will take a lot of beating from an ideal inside draw.

And Keeley McGee’s speedster can enhance his claims by taking the third quarter-final. Holborn Post followed up a 28.49 first round run with a brilliant 28.09 effort last week, prompting the sponsors to cut him from 8-1 to 4-1 favourite.

Tyrur Lee, who finished third last time after stumbling at trap-rise, can chase him home.

Droopys Electric was no match for Holborn Post last week, going under by a couple of lengths.

However, if he can get near his opening round form when clocking 28.14, he should be able to take care of the consistent Oran Premier.

Tyrur Ted can keep his 100% record in the classic intact in the fourth quarter-final.

Last year’s winner has put in two highly creditable performances so far, and from another wide draw can see off Moonveen Doyler.
