OUTGOING president Pat Hickey is poised to lead the Olympic Council of Ireland through the Beijing Quadrennial and beyond as he is unopposed at next month’s AGM.

Hickey stays on at OCI

There will be no voting for the president, vice-presidents, hon general secretary or treasurer this time, although there will be changes.

First vice-president Louis Kilcoyne moves to a position with the European National Olympics Committee, of which Hickey is secretary, and he will be replaced by Willie O’Brien (Archery), who was Chef de Mission for Athens last year.
