Yelena Isinbayeva broke the world pole vault record indoors and outdoors, as she easily cleared a height of 4.88m at the Norwich Union Grand Prix in Birmingham.

The Olympic champion easily added a centimetre to her winning height in Donetsk six days ago.

The Russian was in a class of her own and comfortably beat Svetlana Feofanova (4.70m) and Anna Rogowska (4.45m).
