Nothing left in Ferrari drawer for Schu’s car

MICHAEL Schumacher will have an improved Ferrari at his disposal in Hungary next week, but technical boss Ross Brawn has warned he has little more to give the world champion.

Nothing left in Ferrari drawer for Schu’s car

Brawn, Ferrari’s technical director, has overseen an improvement to the car, which has already been good enough to power Schumacher to 11 wins from 12 races this season.

Schumacher has had to fight harder for his wins in recent races as the likes of Renault and McLaren reaped the rewards of their development programmes.

Ferrari will hit back with new parts for the Hungarian Grand Prix but Brawn is warning is likely to be the end of the improvements.

He said: “In Hungary we should have another step on the tyres but the chassis is probably frozen now for the rest of the season.”

Meanwhile, Williams have promised improved cars for the Hungarian Grand Prix despite the summer testing ban.

Technical director Sam Michael said: “There will be new components that should help us during the start phase. Plus we have developed some new aerodynamic and mechanical components.”
