In a match played in miserable weather conditions, Harlequins always looked the likely winners once they took the lead in the 6th minute through Richard Gash. Two goals from David Egner in quick succession and a John Hobbs strike from a penalty corner sent Harlequins in at half-time leading 4 - 0.

Conor Harte made it 5-0 from a penalty corner four minutes into the second half with David Egner going on to complete his hat-trick and the scoring in the 55th minute.
