Cork County win Senior cup
Harlequins temporarily blunted the County attack, but once man-of-the-match Bruce Koch departed after a regal knock of 83, their resistance unravelled in spite of sterling play by captain Quentin Classen, who scored 26, and Richard Gash’s defined 22.
Mike Reid, with four wickets, was the most successful Cork County bowler.
There was little need then to depend on the strike bowling power of Keith Banks or John Power’s spin. Williamson’s two strikes were invaluable.
Harlequins’ total of 160 was never going to be enough to trouble the title-holders.
Captain Robert Duggan and Ken Sorensen scored over 60 each, steering their team to calm waters.
