Cork County win Senior cup

Cork County retained the Munster Senior Cup at the Mardyke, sweeping away the Harlequins’ challenge.

Harlequins temporarily blunted the County attack, but once man-of-the-match Bruce Koch departed after a regal knock of 83, their resistance unravelled in spite of sterling play by captain Quentin Classen, who scored 26, and Richard Gash’s defined 22.

Mike Reid, with four wickets, was the most successful Cork County bowler.
