Rebel’s yell silences Tipp

CORK claimed their 49th Munster hurling title yesterday - their first at Páirc Uí Chaoímh in 13 years - but in victory, they lost a legend.

The Rebels’ spiritual leader Brian Corcoran will miss the All-Ireland quarter finals after damaging his shoulder in the early stages of yesterday’s 1-21 to 1-16 win over Tipperary.

He will be out of hurling for up to two months.
