In every NBA season - somewhere between the trade deadline noise and the playoff crescendo - there is a moment, when - in golfing parlance - it reaches its “Amen Corner.” The pretenders fall away, the contenders reveal themselves, and the storylines that will define June begin to breathe.

The last few years, this moment has felt a little different. Not because the league lacks star power - quite the opposite. You could argue, with little resistance, that the NBA has never been deeper, more competitive, or more international than it is right now.
