'She is honestly injured' - why would we not believe Adeleke and her coach? 

When Rhasidat Adeleke told everyone why she’d miss next month’s World Championships, the reason was most likely just what she said.

The simplest explanation is usually the right one. Not always. But usually.

So when Rhasidat Adeleke came out this week and told everyone why she’d miss next month’s World Championships, the reason was most likely just what she said. “Lingering injuries & continuous setbacks made it increasingly difficult to train and perform at the level I expect from myself,” she posted on Instagram. “Following yet another recent roadblock, I’m saddened to share that I’m unable to finish out this season.”
