As is customary in a situation where one side are heavy odds-on shots, there appeared three potential outcomes prior to throw-in. Cork comfortably, Cork narrowly or Tipp narrowly.

It is a simple statement of fact that “Tipp not narrowly” was absent from the range of options touted, even or especially in the Premier County. Perfectly understandable, given everything we’d witnessed from the contestants over the course of the championship.
